Magazine Project Research - Rolling Stone (Music & Fashion)

 

      The magazine I decided to contribute to my research was a 2017 Rolling Stone Magazine. The genre of the magazine is predominantly music, but occasionally featured fashion and style. The colors featured on the magazine are black, white and red. It also has a pop of cheetah, because of the featured artist on the cover. The subheadings are also this color, because that is the overall theme of the magazine. The types of articles that appear in this magazine is articles about various types of artists. In some of the articles, they have celebrity artists featuring name-brand clothing. Like for example of page 16 of the magazine, the Rolling Stone has a "My Style" article. It features American rap artist, 21 Savage basically advertising his "Plane Jane Swagger". So with this magazine, like the others I noticed is that they use celebrities to attract people, not actual models. The advertisements are sporadically included. It seems like every other page, rather than set pages. The only picture included on the cover is hip-hop artist, Cardi B.  She is featured wearing lingerie and a cheetah print type of coat, to show off her usual feminine style. This magazine doesn't have a table of contents, but they have a "playlist" that lists music of today, of various genre. The magazine reported that the U.S. paid circulation of the Rolling Stone magazine is  ‎1,468,263 issues per month. Rolling Stones has no awards up to date.
